PDP To Lose Majority In National Assembly; Its Members Now Joining APC Secretly

As the powers and interests that would shape the very important 2015 general elections continue to strategize and re-strategize, OluFamous.Com can authoritatively report that a serious up set is in the making for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

PDP members in the National Assembly are now leaving the party secretly...
This is so as the All Progressives Congress, APC, have promised any National Assembly member who joins the party an automatic ticket to contest on its platform.

Under the current configuration of political parties in the House of Reps, the PDP has 204 members while the APC has about 130 members. But with the close relationship of the leadership of the House with opposition agents in the House of Reps, about a 100 members will be joining the APC.

The Senate is also not left out as the PDP's majority of 75 members is serious under threat, following what some of them have described as the emergence of 'another national party'.

If the coalition of merging opposition parties gradually gains more seats in the National Assembly ahead of the 2015 crucial polls, it will translate to more constituencies embracing the APC for victory in 2015.

This is similar to the calculations of the opposition in the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) where it has been gathered that some bold PDP governors would leave the party to join the APC to facilitate the conversion of their states ahead of 2015.

From what OluFamous.Com gathered, open defection of PDP lawmakers in the House may start next month but the Speaker will be the last to decamp; as soon as the opposition manage to secure a marginal majority over the PDP in the House he'll make his move openly.
